Rêverie Translucide

Rêverie Translucide is an artist book capturing the fleeting moments of dappled light—the shimmering patterns on the ground as sunlight filters through leaves. To express the sensation of the clear and transparent light that flickers as one walks beneath the trees, I used silkscreen printing. Shimmering silver and white inks were chosen to evoke the pure, transparent quality of this dappled light, while accidental smudges and accumulations in the printing process were preserved to naturally convey the scattering and clustering of light. 

The images are placed at the center of each page bundle, wrapped in layers of transparent or glittering paper, so that one only encounters the central image after turning through the outer pages. This structure mirrors the experience of walking under the trees and discovering flickering light, inviting the viewer to journey through the book, layer by layer, to reach the light within. Each page is crafted in varying sizes to reflect the natural beauty created by trees of different heights and shapes, intertwining harmoniously.
