This book explores the dual nature of words as both text and image, using paper as a medium to investigate how meaning shifts and expands when these two forms coexist. Centered on actions such as ‘tear, scratch, soak’, the book captures the physical marks left on paper by these acts while simultaneously documenting them as textual representations. Through this interplay, the book experiments with how text and image, when juxtaposed, merge to create new layers of meaning.

On each page, the words gradually increase in size, reflecting the amplification of their textual significance, while the corresponding images of altered paper visually expand to showcase the material consequences of the acts. This dual progression invites readers to explore the evolving relationship between text and image, transcending the boundaries of "reading" and "viewing" to reveal how the two mediums interact to generate novel interpretations.

The cover design reflects this experimental approach. The varying sizes of the phrase “Paper Book” on the front and back covers emphasize the physicality and symbolic weight of text, hinting at the book’s conceptual flow and thematic expansion. Ultimately, this work reinterprets the independent meanings of language and material, examining how their combination creates entirely new contexts and narratives.
